Preheat oven at 350. Just brown some meat, like you always do, with Lowry's seasoning salt and worcheshire. The drain it and add a small jar of pizza or spagetti sauce. Add a cup of italian cheese and stir it up. Get you a baking pan and some Grands crescent rolls (or biscuits) and separate them. You spoon out a little bit in the center of the crescent roll and roll it up. Then flip it over so the folded side is down and pop them in the oven for about 15 minutes. YUM YUM.

I had left over meat, so I wish I had 3 cans of crescent rolls, however we liked the meat to top the rolls that we had. Either way would be great.Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17330327777512642462noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5560602745519048671.post-4130998903825728872010-01-31T13:12:00.003-05:002010-01-31T13:14:09.708-05:00Pray for my momShe got her results back from her scan this past week and to no avail the cancer has grown and has spread to her spine. She starts radiation Wednesday and has it everyday for several weeks. She will also be doing more chemo starting Thursday once a week for a while.

Please keep her in your prayers. She needs to be stong and positive to beat this once and for all.

ThanksAlysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17330327777512642462noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5560602745519048671.post-56300042512396784302010-01-21T14:10:00.002-05:002010-01-21T14:24:26.211-05:00Catching upFor any of you poor souls that read this never updated blog :) here is an update...

The day after Christmas, someone decided I needed to be more self-reliant. Which is funny since that is the visiting teaching lesson this month. My car caught fire...not a bad fire, but enough for me to panic and cry a lot. Thank goodness for my parents (I know, not very self reliant lol) I was able to borrow my mom's van to get around. My car is now ok and didn't cost much.

The day after my car incident, my hard drive crashed...HOLY MOLY...can this all happen at once! Well, luckily my dad (again i know not very self reliant) had an extra computer he let em borrow while mine was being fixed. I took it to this guys store in the Spanish branch of the Lilburn Stake and he saved my bank account. He fixed my computer for cheap.

Anyways, about this whole self reliance...I have really been thinking what i would do without my parents. I appreciate them more than you might ever know. I rely on them to help watch Kyra while i work at their house. Since we are already there almost every night, we eat dinner there. Most of the time lately my brother cooks. During the whole time of my two catastrophe's, we got a little bit of snow and ice. Enough that I didn't leave my house for a few days. Not to go to work, not to take Kyra to school, not to go to my parents!!!!!! Here i was, home alone with Kyra for days which seemed like months. We both eventually developed housotosis. I mean it. We were both at wits end. I was so thankful for her to be going to school that next day and me going into the office.

So, through all of this, I have realized that I have developed some patience skills that I did not have before. I have learned how to be more tolerant. These two things I have been praying for a while now. I am also learning how to me more self reliant, which i love. It feels really good to make dinner for the two of us and sit down at our table and eat. It feels really good to go to the grocery store and buy foods other than breakfast items. I swear the people at publix probably thought that was all I fed Kyra lol.

I know this may be miniscule to someone else, maybe you, for me, it has been giant steps. I used to be VERY self reliant, but just hear lately not so much. So, I am glad to be getting back to myself and back to my mommy role. and boy do I love my parents and my family :)Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17330327777512642462noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5560602745519048671.post-16337523779637656002009-06-23T13:29:00.003-04:002009-06-23T13:38:53.559-04:00Oops i did it againROFL, this time is the last time until i meet a nice gentleman to hire me help.

I have moved for the 9th time in 5 years. One might as how is that possible since I was at Tammy's for 2 full years. Well, it wasn't easy. And I am still not completely moved out and in yet. BUT, the house is in Doraville. Its a cute 3 BD 1 BATH with a little basement. I love it. Kyra now has her own little purple girly room. And we have a fun neighborhood with several parks in walking distance.

I am now in the Glenridge ward. I have made it there once so far and that was after a MAJOR wardrobe malfunction. I drove all the way there the day after the move, got there early. Went to put my shoes on and was missing a strap. I could not very well show up my first day in my Sunday best with slippers lol. So i drove home could not find the strap, changed clothes, and went back just in time for the last few minutes and the closing prayer. Then, i dropped Kyra off at nursery, which she did VERY well in, and I went to the Sunday school class. I picked up a bulletin and realized there was a singles sunday school class.....WHHOOOOOOOo HOOOOOOOO, so i get up to go to that class and stubbed my ringy toe!!!!!! For real, i should have just stayed, but I got all excited. It was right in the middle of the class, so oh well, everyone got a glimpse of the chick who dipped out in the middle of Sunday School. Then, I missed one week since it was Stake conference, i had company in town. Then, this past Sunday, i tried really really hard to make it there on time, in which I did. But just to get there and I was the ONLY one there. That was Stake Conference Day, so thats what I get for trying to skip it the Sunday before ROFL.

So thats my story, more to come of the new place. :)Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17330327777512642462noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5560602745519048671.post-76477400774449102872009-06-11T14:27:00.003-04:002009-06-11T14:33:28.898-04:00The time that has passedWell well well, has it been a long time or what.

Where do i even begin?

I am gonna be kinda brief here, even though I want to bust out and tell you all about what i have been up to lately. But, i need to save something for another post or two...if i can remember to get back on here and post it.

I have not been here to keep you (if there is anyone that still reads this) posted because...i got a PROMOTION. Her birthday was last month and i never posted for her. I am sorry. We had a blast at her impromtu party. I invited a few of my close friends and one of her buddies. We opened gifts and can I say THANK you to those who read this that purchased her a gift. It was very thoughtful and appreciated. Then we had hot dogs, which seems to be a ritual at birthday parties here. Then we had cake. Kyra blew out her candles and decided with her piece of cake to remember what it was like to turn 1, because she dunked her face in her piece of cake like a pro. it was awesome. Here's some pics. And just so you know, the balloon is a pic of a kid showing how ole they are...not the peace sign...lol :)

Though its been so long since she turned two. Kyra and I slept in and then had a great breakfast. Then my mom and I had appointments at the spa. Ahhhhhhhh, that is so wonderful. I wish I could do that more often. Then I went down to Lenox and had my make-up professionally done. I think I could have done just as good of a job if not better, but whatever, it was fun. Then I RUSHED to the ball. It was so much fun. After dinner we all got out on the dance floor and danced our hearts out. So here's a couple of my favorite shots.

Why I was the only one dancing in this one above i have no idea, must have been a song I really had to whoot to.

I think this one was took right before I fell on the floor. I have been soooooo busy. Mostly with work. This month has been especially long. I have been in charge of several of our clients at work and they have REALLY kept me busy. I have had to work on a few Sundays when I was not scheduled and had to work this past weekend when I was scheduled to have it off.

You may or may not know that I work for the mystery shopping company Market Force. We do all kinds of mystery shopping and auditing of stores all over the US. It is a lot of fun talking to these folks and making relationships with complete strangers. Some of the people I talk to we communicate several times a week. Its crazy, i feel like they should be my friends on facebook lol.

I have also been keeping really busy playing with my new Adobe Photoshop. WOW is all I can say. That thing can make some of my drab pics wonderful. This past week, I learned how to make my own backdrop that professional photographers would use. I can crop any photo and place it in the backdrop for a "professional" look. I learned how to make the "eyes pop". that is my favorite feature. It alone can make a bland pic look great. If you ever want any editing done to your pics, let me know. I would love to try to see what I can do with different types of photos.

Next thing I have to do now is get a DSLR camera instead of my point and shoot. However I LOVE do love my Canon. It takes some great pics.

So, January has been a great month for some aspects and not so great for others. I wanted to be at church the past couple of Sundays. i missed it cause of work. Poor Kyra is never gonna get used to nursery if i can't make it there every Sunday. And I think I might have to miss this coming Sunday too, UGH, can i go ahead and pull out my hair.

Well, thanks for listening (?) or reading rather. Anything that has to do with quizes and personalities I pretty much like. I know who I am and its so interesting to see these things be so true. I like seeing what colors say I am. I would have to agree with this one whole-heartedly. I am ALWAYS up for a challenge. I used to love being in the gifted program when I was in school because we always did problem solving puzzles and things of the such and I loved them. I have to say I was pretty good at them. I love being dared to do stuff. Nothing too off the wall, but if I was dared to go sky dive, I would. I am pretty adventurous and therefore have been called a little crazy now and then. I am ok with that, for the most part. I have to agree I do get a little bored easily, but if I am with the people who I care about bordem doesn't matter. I can easily turn bordem into a good time with a little humor. So here are my results, i love them.

Your rainbow is strongly shaded red and orange.

What is says about you: You are a passionate person. You appreciate a challenge. You get bored easily and want friends who will keep up with you. I love the feeling you get when you know you have helped out someone in some way. I recently gave a sister I know some baby items. I didn't really know how much she needed them until she filled me in on how I came at just the right time. Isn't it great how we are blessed with the gift of giving.Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17330327777512642462noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5560602745519048671.post-66449784180631648382008-12-08T14:45:00.002-05:002008-12-08T14:50:06.181-05:00Yum YumMe and my friend Lauren and our daughters made ginger bread cookies. Oh how I love the way the aroma they give off as they give the house a wonderful smell. These are just the ones I had left that I didn't eat. We had a blast decorating them...and eating them. We decorated her Christmas tree also. That was fun. That girl has a ton of ornaments. My sweet girl fell out of bed last night and busted her face all up, so play day today was in NEED. We went to Bounce A Rama and played our hearts out. We were the only ones there so we could do whatever we wanted. Kyra loves the slides. Its somewhat hard to get her to the top to slide down, but its worth the look on her face and the sound of her giggle as she slides down. After playing, we went to Eagle's Landing. We had a great lunch together. Now she is sleeping hard. I'm especially thankful for my mom for being so strong to fight through all of her illnesses. Therefore I am especially thankful for my dad for being there to support my mom the way he does. We joke that earlier this year his name was nurse Don. That still cracks me up, but its so true. I am REALLY thankful for Kyra. She is a gift from God and he gave to me at just the right time in my life. She is the most wonderful blessing of all.

Next, I am thankful for the church and the gospel. I had a bit of a break and am sooooo glad to be back in and learning the truth! Its great to be able to have living prohets that give us the guidance we need to be back with Him someday.

I am very thankful to be living in the United States of America. I am greatful for opportunities this nation gives us. I am thankful for the soldiers fighting for this country. I believe that we live in the greatest nation ever and are living in the best times to live.

Now, on a not so serious note, I am thankful for the technology to express what I am most greatful for online for you to read. I am thankful for my sweet dogs and cat that are there everyday so excited when I walk in the door. I am thankful for my job to be able to work from home and watch Kyra grow up. I have not missed a beat with her and I would not trade that for the world. I am thankful for my brother and his girlfriend being there whenever I do need that break, lol.

I am really thankful for the primary children. I love sitting in Relief Society and listening to them sing their sweet songs. I will always melt when I hear certain primary songs. I am greatful for the nursery leaders. Without them, I could not ever pay attention in class.

I am thankful for my friends and my sisters in my sorority. They are always there when I need them. They are understanding and loving and ador Kyra. I am thankful for holidays and vacations. I'm thankful for the cold weather to cool my bones after a hot summer. I'm thankful for my healthy bones and immunity. I am also thankful for Kyra's health.

There is so much more that I am thankful for I simply cannot say it all. Lastly I am thankful for you reading all the way to the end. Have a great rest of the weekend.Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17330327777512642462noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5560602745519048671.post-84749507711136802382008-11-25T14:23:00.002-05:002008-11-25T14:30:25.922-05:00My big laundry helperI love that my daughter loves laundry. She likes do put clothes in the wash, take them out, put in them in the dryer, and take them out. She loves it when there is a sock that tries to hide in the back of the machine, because then she can get in, and I mean in, to get it out. Here's my little helper in action.
Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17330327777512642462noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5560602745519048671.post-19759242921972003512008-11-22T12:05:00.004-05:002008-11-22T12:10:06.585-05:00Knotty baby wear

If you love to have your kids looking stylish yet still warm, you should check these out. That was her first time there and I'm pretty sure we'll be going back...soon. We had a great time! Kyra liked feeding the goats, pigs, deer, and more. I took a break from unpacking to pet the bunnies and Kyra a great time. We didn't pick out a pumpkin though. As much as i wanted to, I'm not that big into carving them. I'm getting hungry.

Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17330327777512642462noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5560602745519048671.post-45057257445970481922008-11-02T16:59:00.008-05:002008-11-04T13:34:53.958-05:00Not so spooky nights

So I have a born to be trick or treater. My little hunny pot and I went trick or treatin with some friends of mine. We had such a blast. I dressed up too as Tinky Winky, which I'm sure you know who I'm talking about if you have children. Kyra strolled along knocking on the doors, sticking her purple bucket out or taking the candy herself, then said thank you and bye bye to everyone. It was priceless.

Kyra and I went to the Washington Farms corn maze the previous weekend. I dressed her up that weekend too since I couldn't decide on which costume to buy. So that night she was Cheer Bear. She even had a little tail and heart on her back side. She didn't like to leave the hoods up on either costume, what a bummer.

Then mommy is a woman of many costumes as well. Later Halloween I went to my brothers costume party. Kyra spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa to let me have a night out. It was so much fun. We had a pinata and by the time it was my turn the roap broke, so I then demolished it on the ground. It was hilarious. So now i have a bunch of crushed suckers and rieces cups, yummy.

I love Halloween every year, but I will definately look forward to it more and more as Kyra gets older. I love dressin her up :)

Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17330327777512642462noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5560602745519048671.post-40866321444858910932008-10-27T12:09:00.004-04:002008-11-01T22:15:50.839-04:00Its a wonderful lifeMy mom got her results back today from her scan last week. NO MORE CHEMO!!!!!! At least for a while. The cancer will really never be gone, but for now, it is. I'm so happy for my mom. This was her 4th round thus far, so she really has had enough. She's so strong! and I'm so proud to have her as my mom!!!!Alysonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17330327777512642462noreply@blogger.com0
